Answer Question
Per unitizing of excitation parameters
Hi,
We know all parameters in PU in PSCAD. However, when we input the excitation voltage in per unit, the actual voltage that is been fed to the generator is Ef(actual) = Ef(PU)*efbase. Can I know how to find this efbase.
From what i know, efbaase = Rated VA base / ifdbase. This is ok, but for that i need to know ifdbase, which i do not know. Now to obtain, ifdbase the equation states as follows: ifdbase = (Lad/Lafd)*isbase. How can we obtain the value for Lafd? In other words, how can we obtain the Lafd base.
Thank you.
