Answer Question
Breaker Capacitance Value for TRV Analyis
Hi,
IEEE C37.011 mentions stray capacitance values. For example a 240 kV breaker has let say 600 pF capacitance for closed condition. Do we model 300 pF on each side of the breaker? or just lumped 600 pF on the CB side oppoiste to the fault side? What about for open CB condition, how to model the stray capacitance? Half on each side of the circuit breaker?
Thanks
