Answer Question
How to fire a thyristor, triggered by a specific network condition?
Hello everybody.
At the moment I am struggeling with firing a thyristor at a specific moment. I figured out how to fire the device at a defined phase angle of an AC voltage. Hence, a specific point of time is possible by using a defined frequency and the necessary phase angle. However, I would like to be able to fire the thyristor when a specific condition is met in the network (e.g. the current exceeds a certain level). Is that possible? If so: How?
Thank you for your help!
