Answer Question
Synchronous Machine's Ef0 and Tm0
Can anyone give a brief explanation on how these signals are computed by the machine?
I tried feeding these two directly (without a sample and hold component) into the Ef and Tm inputs of a generator, and the machine was able to reach steady state for a resistive load, and an infinite bus load. The voltages and powers were steady, and frequency variation was negligible.
I was thinking, the machine block has access to every internal variable to compute for Ef0 and Tm0, and it probably uses all info necessary to do so, and thus this does not reflect how a real controller (exciter and governor) might handle the situation.
Comments and thoughts would be much appreciated. Thank you!
