Bipolar HVDC Transmission System

Hello Sir,
I am woking on 'Distance Protection for HVDC transmission Lines'. For dat i am using CIGRE HVDC benchmark system. It is modified to bipolar.
Here i am attaching my model. for normal condition without any fault its not giving voltage and current magnitude as 1pu.. rather i am getting very less magnitude less than 0.5 pu.
Sir can u please rectify my problem and tell me my mistakes.

Hello

I am sorry but we no longer support PSCAD V4 unless you have a professional license and you come in through support@pscad.com

On the forum here, the best I can do is offer you an example we have built using PSCAD X4. You will of course require PSCAD X4 in order to load the case.

I will post the example here shortly

Sir, i have 1 doubt. After running dis bipolar model simulation, voltage is exactly 1pu. but current for both the poles is very less ie in between 2 to 3pu. Why is it so? what is the significance of this?

Sorry, current is in between 0.2 to 0.3 pu..

The Bipole power is set to 0.5 pu. The currents you are seeing in each bipole 0.2 and 0.3 = 0.5pu for current. The voltage as you stated is at 1 pu.

0.5 pu current x 1 pu voltage = 0.5 pu power

Hello

Here is a newer Bi-pole example that is the same as the older example but fixed to run with PSCAD 4.6.0 and higher versions. There was a small corruption in the old case that PSCAD 4.6.0 didn't like.
