The Professional and Educational editions of PSCAD must be licensed in order to use them. Licensing may be performed as per instructions in the following guide:

- If the license is installed on your own machine (i.e. not shared from a server via the network), then go to Section 3.2 of the guide.
- If the license is installed on a server, and you will obtain this license via the network, then go to Section 2.5 of the guide.
If you encounter any licensing issues, please send in the information to support@pscad.com as indicated in Section 9 of the guide. Ensure to include your PSCAD license number, and indicate whether this is a local license or a network license.
