1. Ensure that:
a. You have adminstrator privileges on your machine to perform this installation.
b. Any firewall or antivirus programs that may interfere with this installation have been disabled. One example of a software that blocks installations is "AppSense".
c. The installation files are run from a folder in which you have permission.
d. The installation files are being run from a local driver (i.e. not a network drive).
2. Various methods of installing Sentinel Drivers:
a. Install PSCAD or the PSCAD License Manager; the Sentinel Drivers will be installed automatically (silent installation - i.e. no InstallShield Wizard).
b. Download installation files from the following website, extract the files to a local folder (e.g. Desktop), and run the installation (when prompted, select the "Complete" installation):

c. In the PSCAD installation files, browse to /USBDriver, right-click on "Install.bat", and select "Run as administrator" (silent installation - i.e. no InstallShield Wizard).
d. In the PSCAD installation files, browse to /USBDriver, right-click on "Setup.exe", and select "Run as administrator" (when prompted, select the "Complete" installation).
e. If PSCAD is installed, go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\PSCAD45_453\USBDriver, right-click on "Install.bat", and select "Run as administrator" (silent installation - i.e. no InstallShield Wizard).
f. If PSCAD is installed, go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\PSCAD45_453\USBDriver, right-click on "Setup.exe", and select "Run as administrator" (when prompted, select the "Complete" installation).
3. Error Message
If the following error message is displayed, then one or more requirements at Step (1) have likely not been met:
Windows Installer
This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package
