Hi there,
We are working on a study where vendor-provided models are compiled using different versions of FORTRAN. We have several renewable-energy plants in the study area and wish to use a separate PSCAD project file for each (this is for sake of simplifed model maintenance). We set this up as follows:
1) Server workspace in the latest Fortran including:
a) An equivalent transmission model, w/ interface lines to projects
b) Projects that are compiled with the new fortran
2) Client workspace including:
a) Projects that have libraries compiled with the old Fortran.
We wish to use a simulation set in the Server workspace (named `runAll` in our example) that will trigger execution of all the connected projects in the Client workspace. We added an external process reference to the simulation set (pointing to the client executable) but the client simulation does not get triggered. The best we could achieve so far is to start the `runAll` simulation set in the Server workspace, wait for PSCAD to show the port numbers, press ok, then start the `DependentSimulations` simulation set in the Client workspace which triggers all of the dependent simulations.(Note that the submitted example has a single dependent simulation, to simplify the example)
Is it possible to set things up in such a way that everything executes from a run command given in the Server workspace?
See attached file for an illustrative example.
co-simulation, TLine interface, simulation set, external process, automatic start
