I am looking for a way to create a Power Plant Controller (PPC) in PSCAD utilizing PI Controllers for active and reactive power control. As a safety function, I'd like to be able to "freeze" the output of the PI Controller block to the current value it's outputting upon the activation of a certain trigger—in the screenshot below, the enabling of a flag indicating a voltage ridethrough event; in practice we'd also be activating this until the amount of active power being generated exceeded a certain threshold. This is designed to help limit reactive power outputs into faults and during other unfavorable conditions. I would appreciate ideas and suggestions for ways to implement this functionality either via modifications to the PI controller block or the utilization of other CSMF blocks.
