why Fault Current Contribution from Source is independent of DGs
Hello Sir, I hope you are doing well. By looking your name in the PSCAD Q&A site and your help that you provide reseachers, i am writing this to you for little help please. I am working on fault analysis and protection.
CASE-1: When i apply A-G fault in IEEE-34 bus system without integarting DGs, All the fault current is supplied by Grid/Main Source, which is approximately 0.35 KA (rms).
CASE-2: When I integrate two DGs with capacities 1.2 MVA each at bus 808 and 816 and apply the same fault at the same location as in case-1. The DGS also contribute to fault current, but it is expected that the fault current contribution from Sources should be less/decrease than as in CASE-1 due to contribution by DGs. But, the Source is still provding the more a less same fault current as without DG cases. It means, DGs has no effect on fault current contribution from Grid whihc is not accurate, DGs should have effect i.e. decrease of fault current from grid.
Can you please, have a look on the problem that is there but i am unable to identify. I have attached here the PSCAD file.
