Hi Tamer,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I can run the project after I deleted the component which requires .dlls.
BTW, what does proxy mean? How do I check the proxy?
Thanks.

You're welcome. I meant firewall software. If it runs when deleting the custom component, can you try to have the .dlls in the path with small folder path like c:\tests? Move everything there.

Based on the "readme.txt" file of this project, the .dlls should be placed in the output folder of this project. If I put them in the folder with short path, do I need to set anything in the project to make it be able to detect .dlls?
BTW, my colleague can run this project with dlls in the output folder. The only difference is that he uses Intel fortran 2012 but my version is 2015.

I think it may be a path problem. Try to put a copy of these dlls in the windows folder. This what I am thinking of based on your shared info.

I am not sure what the windows folder does mean. Is it the folder under C drive? In addition, I just need to copy of these dlls in the new folder or I also need to delete those dlls in the output folder? Could you please give me more information on how to follow your suggestions? I will appreciate it.

Are you sure you have set the link tab to point at the dlls?
Yes, I meant C;\Windows.

Thanks for your solution, Tamer. I think I understand what you mean. I put the folder of libs into C:\\Windows and set the link tab of the project to point at that folder. However, this method did not work for me. The same error happened.
BTW, the files in the folder of Libs have the extension of .lib while the .dll files are located in output folder. Hence, do I need to set the link tab of the project to .dlls or .libs?

You need to point to the libs. Some paths are not set right in your computer. If you like to share your files, I can try to run it on my laptop.

Hi Tamer, thank you for your help but I cannot share the files because of the confidential issue. I will follow your suggestion to check paths.

Hi Tamer, I double checked the path and did some tests. I think it is not the reason to cause the error. In addition, my colleague who successfully run this model just used the default path. The difference is that he put the entire project folder on the desktop while I put it in "C:/documents". Do you think there might be other reasons to cause this error?

So why you do not put all files on the desktop? Can you try a third laptop/computer?

I tried to put the entire folder on the desktop and I also tried a third PC but I still got the same error.

Hi Tamer, the error is solved after I used Intel Fortran 2011 instead of 2015. It is because another protection software in my PC blocked .dll file when I used Intel Fortran 2015.

Thank you for advising us. This makes a lot of sense, the dlls were not accessible.
