Modelling Transformer and Inductor Hysteresis
Hello all,
Is there a way to model transformer and/or inductor hysteresis in PSCAD? I know that you can model saturation in PSCAD using a series of flux-current data points, but what about hysteresis?
I am considering the use of PSCAD for transformer energization studies. Usually, I use ATP-EMTP, where I can implement the Jiles-Atherton hysteresis model.
Thanks,
James

Yes, using the single-phase or three-phase transformer model from PSCAD. If you enable the saturation, you can also choose either basic model or Jiles-Atherton hysteresis. However, you must use PSCAD version 4.6 and above.
I'm far from expert but I'm doing the same research like you.

Hana
