Is there any method to prevent the thyristor safety turnoff in simulations? I tried adjusting the thyristors to be protected against Forward Voltage Breakdown but with no luck. Any ideas to solve this problem?
The safety turn off message is displayed by the interpolation algorithm when multiple switching events have occurred in one time step and the present condition dictates that the diode or IGBT should have been turned off in the previous timestep. It lets you know that the interpolation algorithm is struggling to keep up with the switching. If you are seeing this message and noticing unexpected behaviour you should probably decrease your timestep. If you see this during initialization, or it doesn’t seem to cause any problems with then you don’t need to be very worried about it.
