Hello,
The previous answer is correct, in that PSCAD v4.3 and later may not be imported backward into PSCAD v4.2. The case must be recreated. The newer features may not be auto-generated back into v4.2.
If you would like to learn to use our latest version of PSCAD, please feel free to use the Free Edition. You are entitled to this limited-feature edition through your MyCentre user account. Simply download the MyUpdater tool from the following link, and use it to install and run PSCAD:
