Yes Ali is correct but let me clarify a bit.
PSCAD 64 bit / EMTDC 32 bit is what is currently released. The EMTDC simulation engine still creates a 32 bit simulation while the GUI PSCAD is 64 bit. Its the simulation engine that interacts with MATLAB so you must use Matlab 32 bit.
PSCAD 4.6.0 to be released this spring with be and PSCAD 64 bit / EMTDC 64 bit release and will support MATLAB 64 bit. We are testing this and it seems to work just fine so far.
