I want to simulate a power system and its communication network on a PSCAD case. I have developed all the communication network components models in PSCAD.50 us time-step is sufficient for the power system simulations, however, it is necessary to set the simulation time-step as 1 us to capture the actual behavior of the communication network. This is time consuming when the power system size is large. If the power system models run at 50 us and the communication components run at 1 us it will be enhanced the simulation speed. Is there any possibility to use different time-steps for different components in a case?

I believe that you can change the plotting time-step by using pause the simulation and then change your plot step, but I have not try to change the simulation time-step.
