hello I would like to know if PSCAD has adaptive time simulation step in its versions??

Dose PSCAD have this facility of adaptive time simuation step? Otherwise, the user should know exactly what time step to enter to get the right plot on the screen. I have also posted this question in the mains. Please confirm this issue to me is it possible or not.

This is a copy of the support email sent to you. I am posting it here for others to see.

PSCAD does not have an adaptive time step. The time step must be defined at the beginning of the simulation and is static for the entire simulation run. That being said, you can make the plot step larger before you start the simulation and then pause the simulation/change your plot step/un pause the simulation.

No, it is fixed time step. Depending on the study user needs to select the appropriate time step.

Good morning,
I also have a question about the time step.
In my model, I have a control module, that needs to run faster (different time step) than the system.
Do any solution for run two time step in one file in PSCAD?

You could use the Z domain blocks in the intermediate library to simulate a control circuit that runs in a different time step.
