Answer Question
Modelling submarine cable depth and resistivity
Dear
I'm studying a submarine cable which will be laid directly on top of the ground or buried slightly and I'm wondering how to model the ground for these two scenarios
More practically, the seadepth is assumed to be 50m and the burial depth = 0 (scenario A) or 1.5m (scenario B). Can I assume the following:
Scenario A:
Resistivity = resistivity of seawater (0.1-1 ohm.m)
Depth below ground surface = 50m
Scenario B:
Resistivity = resistivity of seawater (0.1-1 ohm.m)
Depth below ground surface = 1.5m or 51.5m
Kind regards
