Answer Question
Synchronous Machine Initialization
Hi,
I am going to work on motor starting study in which the supply to the motor is a salient pole diesel generator. I am using manufacturer's data of diesel generator. Before applying the said data in the actual study, I will check machine initialization first by using this data in the sample SM_Study_01_A.psc provided in this thread:

Below is the set of data.
When I run the case, the initialization failed. At point when source switches to machine mode (1 s), the voltage drops and fails to initialize.
Could anyone give me an idea to correct the initialization error? I tried to change the H constant of the machine but nothing happens. Hope someone can help me. Thanks.
