Answer Question
Active and reactive power generated by synchronous generator
Hello everyone!
Please try to help me solve my problem.
I have a synchronous generator that need to provide in PSCAD. I know the power of generator in MVA and MW and MWAR. But in PSCAD i can only set a power in MVA by set the nominal voltage and current.
The question is how can i set nominal active and reactive power to my generator in PSCAD? The power is 125 MVA, i need to have 100 MW and 75 MVAR - nominal powers generated by machine. Now i have about 124 MWT and (-14) MVAR - generator is underexcited, i don't know why... Also, i have my own non-standart model of Exciter and i should use exactly this model, but it isn't necessary.
I can attach the file or screenshot if it necessary. Sorry for bad english.
I'm hope to find help here!
